Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Couples Retreat?
A couples retreat is a powerful, immersive experience designed to help you and your partner reconnect, communicate more deeply, and strengthen your relationship — all in a beautiful, distraction-free environment. Unlike traditional weekly sessions, retreats offer 1-, 2-, or 3-day dedicated time together where you’ll explore evidence-based practices like Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to address core issues and rekindle closeness.
Who is a Couples Retreat for?
Our retreats are designed for couples who:
Feel disconnected or stuck in unhealthy patterns.
Are healing after betrayal, infidelity, or a breach of trust.
Want to improve communication, rebuild intimacy, and deepen emotional connection.
Are in a life transition or major decision-making phase and want clarity.
Simply want to reinvest in their love and take their relationship from good to great.
Whether you’re newly committed or decades into your relationship, we meet you where you are and help you move forward — together.
How is a retreat different from traditional couples therapy?
Weekly sessions often focus on small steps over time, but a retreat is a concentrated, transformative experience that allows for breakthroughs in days rather than months. By stepping away from daily stressors and dedicating focused time to your relationship, you’ll gain deeper insight, more effective communication tools, and a renewed sense of closeness.
Can we attend a retreat virtually?
Yes! We offer both in-person retreats (in North Carolina) and virtual retreats (if you live in North Carolina, Virgina, Florida or Georgia), which follow the same format but can be attended from the comfort of your home. Virtual retreats are ideal for couples with busy schedules or those living outside the area.
What if we’re in crisis or on the verge of separation?
Our retreats are highly effective for couples in crisis. The immersive nature allows you to address underlying pain, process difficult emotions, and make intentional decisions about your future — whether that means rebuilding the relationship or parting ways with mutual understanding.
How do we get started?
